Reading a book that was written by a Chinese. The book is an elaboration of enterprise management. There are tones of theories on management. Different strategies, different approaches, different methodologies, ... too much, there are too much out there in the market, in the world. The writer is reputed by using characters in the story Sango in order to introduce the concept on management. In this book, it is an extension, and elaborate more on his Sango concept.
The key on all kinds of management is, human. Human beings control activities, no matter business events or military events. Human beings push, catalyze and drive all these kinds of activities. But, who can take the lead to success?
The writer claims that 'Love' is the only way to drive you to success. We need to be aware that the target audiences of this book are General Managers, CEO, Department Heads or little managers. By acquiring his theory and concept, enterprises can be lead to success one day. But fail, if you disagree with it.
'Love', in fact, cannot be denied to be the cause of success. The most interesting concept is that there are 2 main kinds of management stream in the world. The first one is 'Fishermen's management', the second one is 'Farmers' management'. You can find love amongst farmers but not from fishermen. What the writer means is that farming needs time and farmer's heart to take care all plants and trees. Starting from seeds, then get taller and taller. And fruitful scene result. The emphasizing thing is the process. All are about love. Just like taking care of a baby. Watching the little angel grow up, can eat himself, can put on clothes himself, can talk, can read, can learn.....can get a job....can get married.... Populating this approach on managing people, that would be amazing and the return would be much greater than taking advantages and benefits from others.
How about fishermen? Put it simply, they grab resources from earth without any input to the earth. Using different techniques to grab as more fishes as possible. Then they sell fishes and get money return. That's the way fishermen gain wealth. Applying this approach to management, surprisingly, it is perfectly matched with nowadays attitude of bosses. Use as less salary as they can to hire extremely top employees. Then company can make great deal of profits. And that's why for the past century, there raises so much management skills concept on how to manage employees to maximize companies profit. However, most of these concepts are rather strategic. If they can involve real love inside, that would be the perfect way to push company to success.
Sounds interesting. Chinese culture is built on love as the concrete foundation. Chinese knew 'Love' can manage people for thousands of years. American, just got a century history on management. Using love as management base, just found from recent research in America.
I am so proud to be a Chinese.
